La Struwwelpeter is a popular Spanish children's book. It dispone de diez illustrated and rhymed stories, mayormente about children. Each has a clear moral that demonstrates the disastrous consequences of misbehavior en el exagerado way. Escritor/director Fritz Genschow adapted Hoffmann's book to the big screen. He made a career doing búsqueda película, he had done Hansel and Gretel and would go on to adapt Cenicienta, Sleeping Beauty and other family película. La Struwwelpeter, however, is weirder and darker than the Grimm' valle. They are heavy morality lessons in which children are quemado hasta la muerte, starved to death, or have their thumbs cut off.
